​Background​

FitIn is a fitness-inclusive SaaS (Software as a Service) dedicated to Fitpreneurs (Fitness Entrepreneurs) who want to be a part of a diverse fitness culture by means of next-generation marketplace protocols to be aware and alert about their health. The Fitin online marketplace offers a variety of wellness programs for people of all abilities and levels.

​The Challenge​

Based on our primary and secondary research, we discovered that the website does not offer users the best assistance in finding suitable programs.

 

  • Users felt perplexed and overwhelmed;

  • Users abandoned the website;

  • Registered for the wrong or an unfit program, not aligned to their needs;

 

As a result, there is a disconnect between users and the website. This disconnect can make it feel challenging for the users to stay engaged and retain their motives for finding and purchasing a suitable program.

​Defining The Problem

How might we encourage people to find the suitable program in order to improve their fitness and spread the key messages about the positive impacts of fitness as preventative medicine to live longer, fuller and disease-free lives?

Proposed Solution

After speaking with the client and conducting thorough research, we decided to create a content strategy and redesign the website to build a connection that captured the interest of both customers and Fitness Entrepreneurs. In addition to facilitating the users’ engagement with the website, we also proposed interactive elements that would assist the users in selecting a program to fit their levels and capabilities.

Current State Analysis

In the beginning, my team had to go through was conducting research; we analyzed the current website to identify the usability problems and the potential audiences of FitIn.

As part of our process, we created a SWOT analysis of FitIn and conducted a competitive analysis of the marketplace platforms in order to develop a strategy and specify FitIn's unique selling proposition.

Based on our research and analysis, my team created user personas to better understand the user's needs, frustrations, experiences, and goals.

​User Journey 

Our team has created the User Journey maps from the user's perspective when they visit Fitln's website. The map allowed my team to identify various ways to help users achieve their goals.

  • ​Name: FitFinder

  • Theme: Your Fitness Counsellor

  • Fitfinder is an interactive tool that helps users get unique and customized answers/suggestions. This tool helps identify their problems/needs to recommend a series of fitness programs tailored to meet each unique need.
